The AIR QUALITY PROCESS and SAFRAIR companies
Our aeraulic, refrigerating and thermal know-how
The SAFRAIR Company was created in 1979 by Jean-Louis Michel in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques (64).
It designs and produces aeraulic, refrigerating and thermal installations for manufacturers in the agri-food industry. Located in the south-west of France, it began its business with local firms. Since 1988, it has expanded abroad and, having obtained the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) Agreement, it made its first business contact in the United States for the supply of its air conditioners.
In 1995, in order to provide support for the expansion of its business, the management decided to create a subsidiary company, Air Quality Process.
1/3 of the building costs were devoted to the creation of 3 test rooms( including 1 room measuring 20x10m with a removable ceiling which could be extended from 3 to 6 m) so that they could deepen their expertise in air diffusion. Strengthened by its experience and financial resources, Air Quality Process has invented and patented air conditioners, the qualities of which (hygiene, versatility, performance, low energy consumption...) remain, to this day, unrivalled.
Air Quality Process and Safrair: complementary know-how
The two companies are subsidiaries of the family holding company:
-
Safrair produces refrigeration and aeraulic equipment for industry and local authorities.
-
Air Quality Process specialises in hygienic air conditioning (design, manufacture, installation, commissioning) for the agri-food industry, with considerable interests in the French cheese industry and in the export market.
Christine Tanguy has once more assumed management of the family firm. With a young, dynamic team, very committed to satisfying their customers, she is passing on know-how, encouraging the skills of her team and investing in innovation in order to continue to improve the quality of the solutions offered to her customers.
